The Badger loves fishing with floating line. Here is why!
- It is very DURABLE: Our BADGER-LITE lines are made of the same material as our BADGER lines, and we are still fishing our own BADGER lines from the original testing batch. This has been almost 2 years, in conditions ranging from August heat in Georgia to sub-freezing Winter temps in Iowa and Wisconsin. Despite catching hundreds of fish, and withstanding countless tree snags, they are still going strong. Your BADGER-LITE is going to last!
- It fishes and casts EASY: Floating line works well in the wind. It tangles much, much less than level line or furled. When it does, it can be immediately fixed. We have never lost a section of floating line because it was hopelessly tangled in wind knots or bird's nests! You will also find that it throws an exceptionally smooth cast.
- It is highly VERSATILE: A floating line offers you a whole tool box of functionality on the water. You can still use the length of the rod to hold the line off the water, but now you have other options too. Fishing subsurface, where you cant see the fly? Leave a few inches of floating line on the water as a strike indicator. Is the wind ruining your drift? Anchor it in place by putting more line on the water. Oh, and did we mention they still fish just fine in sub-freezing temperatures? It wont take long to see the advantages that floating line brings to your Tenkara!
